Skybase produces tools designed to seamlessly integrate with GPS equipment – no high-speed Internet connection required! Our moving map solutions are designed to be used by anybody anywhere, with your GPS connected to PC software, or fully integrated GPS unit maps. Skybase software systems work on the following platforms:

1. Garmin GPS Units
2. Windows OS (PC and laptop)
3. Web Map Service (WMS)

Skybase has developed an integrated program called AddMyMap™ that facilitates taking GIS data back to the field on a Garmin GPS unit. This enables for dynamic map building such as 3D seismic where daily updates are required.

Skybase can develop custom navigation systems for forestry companies, fire departments, gas co-ops and many one-of-a kind situations.

where are we going…

Skybase has compiled the most complete road data network available, covering all of Alberta, Saskatchewan and the oil & gas area of (NE) BC and continue to expand the reach of Skybase Maps. A significant percentage of new information now comes from our users - we’ll take your info, confirm and process, and add ‘er to the next map update.

Access roads and many winter roads, road kilometer posts and radio frequencies where available; every well-site ever applied for at ERCB/OGC, searchable by their bottom hole designation, yet routable to their surface location; searchable Compressor and Plant sites (also searchable by company  name) as well as geographical names such as towns, creeks, lakes and mountains.

Skybase has many places to go yet; we are expanding into Manitoba and NWT; and simultaneously tackling several specialty markets like accurate topography forriverboaters & Government agency projects across Canada.

Skybase works with custom projects as the need arises, including hard copy wall maps or folding  trucker’s maps. Since the Dawson Creek Fire Dept’s. dispatch mapping system, we feel confident in being able to create a specialized mapping for any small city or rural municipality for a fraction of the usual cost.
