How Do I Switch Maps In My Garmin Nuvi?

This is probably the question we hear the most.

To use PatchMap, Garmin’s built-in City Navigator maps need to be turned off to ensure the advanced search works properly. If you’re heading out of the patch and into the city, you can easily turn PatchMap off, and City Navigator on – here’s how.

Step One: Select “Tools”

Step Two: Select “Settings”

Step Three – Select “Map”

Step Four – Select “Map Info”

Step Five – Select maps just by touching the appropriate boxes, then press “Back” until you reach the main screen.
